Vegan Donut Contest: The Votes Have Been Tallied!
After 100 submissions, 5 judges, 12 finalists, and nearly 2,000 votes later--we have a winner, brought to you by Vegan Treats bakery
Earlier this year, we asked you to participate in "Create Dunkin's Next Donut" contest by sending in your ideas to Dunkin' Donuts explaining why the company's next donut should be vegan. After you shared your donut creations with us, our panel of judges narrowed down 100 submissions to 12 finalists--then we asked you to vote for your favorite donut.
The votes have been tallied and the talented chefs at the award-winning Vegan Treats bakery have been toiling away in the kitchen to bring the winning donut to life! The new donut will be sold at Vegan Treat's store front location in Bethlehem, PA for a limited time, and you may be lucky enough to find a few in the DC-area where Compassion Over Killing's office is located:
FIRST PLACE: VEGAN CHAI-SPICED DONUT
"My vegan Chai-Spiced donut (vanilla chai creme filling, white icing, and chocolate sprinkles) was inspired by my favorite beverage, a vanilla soy chai latte. No reason why vegans can't also indulge in a delicious sweet treat - even sweeter knowing that it's cruelty free!"
